What do you want to major in? What career do you want to go into? Do you have a plan yet? What school do you want to transfer to? My answer to all these questions is, "I don't know." I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me when I say it is perfectly fine not to know. When are we supposed to actually know? Do we ever even come to a point in our lives of really knowing? I seem to find myself always in the process of knowing. This process seems to be never-ending. As I talk with people and find a multitude of potential opportunities for my life, or as I sign up for classes and find something that looks interesting I realize this process of trying to know what my life is going to look like is simply never-ending. I know it seems to be such a seemingly cliche scripture, but it is one that speaks such truth and power. Jeremiah 29:11 is one I love to remind myself of: "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" I try my best to carry myself throughout my day with the confidence that even if I don't have it all together yet, He does. But what that doesn't mean is I just get to sit back and be lazy and wait for the almighty power of heaven to give me a sign and answer to all the questions for my life. I still have to try, I still have to persevere, I still must be a determined young woman willing to take on new challenges, and I still must look into any potential opportunities. I believe the process of knowing is a whole lot of the trail and error process.
So go out and look for that amazing internship, or try out for the team, audition for the play, travel, practice photography, do something in the hopes of beginning to form an idea of your strengths and weaknesses. Find out what you're good at and what you're not so good at. Everyone is talented and gifted in their own unique ways.
