My favorite phrase is and will probably always be "you got this!" I love saying it to myself at the beginning of the day and saying to to other people for a little bit of motivation. It may sound a little funny, but it can actually be quite powerful. Are you job searching and have a big interview you might be nervous about? Do you have an assignment due or a test coming that you may have waited too long to prepare for? Do you wish you had more money? A better home? A nicer car? These examples and any instances you can fill in the blanks with are only temporary. And guess what? You can get through it. You can do it! 1. Don't Panic Like I said, whatever it is, it is only temporary. It is not going to last forever. You may think the easiest thing to do is get frustrated, worried, consumed, and start panicking. I know and I pray that you know, that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I love, love, love the scripture "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for the Lord is with me" (Psalms 23:4). How relieving to know that whatever our struggles, He is always with us. 2. Breath Probably the most relaxing and calming thing I can think of is to completely stop what you are doing, put everything down, clear your mind, and breath. Take a really deep breath in, then exhale. How did that feel? If nothing, then try again and really meditate in that moment. What I like to do and breath in and out and thank God by saying, "I am not where I used to be, but I am not where I want to be. I am a work in progress." 3. Pray After all is said and done pray, pray, and keep praying. 1 Thessalonian 5:16-18 said it best: "Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." Prayer is the best and most meaningful connection for have with God. It is our direct line. We don't always hear back when we expect to. Our timing doesn't usually co-inside with His. But what we do know is that He is always listening and that is timing is perfect. You got this!!
